So, today it has been a little over 9 months since I started my first real job... Boy, time flies and how!!! It only seems like yesterday that I was "unemployed" and enjoying every moment of it! Though there was still this constant nagging at the back of my mind that it had been close to 3 months since my last exam and still had no job in hand.
And then, in the last week of July I finally started working and was more than glad that I did! But, even after 9 months at the job, I still cannot digest that my Student Life is officially over! :-( Ever since I gave my last paper sometime in May, I had been thinking of all the things that I would miss. But my superstition kept me from writing about it on the blog, till the results came out! :P
And then, Procrastination took over and I ended up not writing about it at all. Anyways, there are so many things I miss, I could make a list.
- Leaving the apartment to go to college and marking our attendance at Durga, before even entering the college.
- Those minimum 6-7 Cold Coffees a day at Durga, under the pretext of refreshment before attending every lecture!
- Those debates on whether to attend the lecture , ultimately deciding against it and ending up having just one more coffee to pass time till the next lecture.
- All of us heading straight to our friend's place, totally forgetting about the lecture and spending hours there playing Cards.
- All those aimless hours spent at Zest drinking Lemon/Peach Iced Tea discussing the most useless topics in the world and feeling as if we were discussing important issues.
- Those late night dinners at Hot Sip or Pallavi under the excuse that we needed a nice break before we stay up to study.
- Staying up with the aim of studying and ending up playing computer games.
- Those late night messages/phone calls to friends asking about Assignments to be turned in the next day.
- The daily 4:00 AM breakfast at Sweekar.
- Coming home at 6:00/7:00 AM after breakfast and finally going to sleep! :-)
- Waking up again at 01:00 PM in the morning (yes, morning for me! :P) to another totally idle day with only one question in mind, "where should I go for lunch?"
- Wake up
- Make breakfast
- Eat, get ready, leave for work
- Spend 10 hours at work (with a couple of breaks in between of course! :-))
- Come back from work, have dinner, go off to sleep.
- Again wake up the next morning for an exact replica of the previous day.
